Home Office Design

Image
I am SO proud of how my home office turned out!! I didn’t think I’d be able to get my own home office in the house I am in how, but - after some readjusting – I was able to fit it in! Thank you for the Pinterest post by Beauty and the Chic for the awesome layout idea with the IKEA furniture! I wanted the space to be super feminine and super inspiring; so I knew the color palette had to be something that popped . Although I absolutely love the color pink, I wanted to find a different color to decorate with. I was able to find this beautiful tufted, teal chair from Ross for only $100! There were only two chairs available…I should’ve just bought them both ;( I wanted a feature wall but didn’t want the wall to be the focus, so I added these thick white stripes for some detail. Very easy, very cute!

Outfit of the Day

Image
Here I go with the scarves! LOL! I've been waiting on the weather to get cool enough to pull out my favorite fall accessory. I was on the way to my niece's bday party and wanted to wear something weather-appropriate, cute and comfy. In this look I wanted the scarf to be the statement piece so paired it with black leggings (what girl doesn't like the look of their legs in black leggings!), a black cami and this cute kimono-like sweater that I actually picked up from Walmart! Wedge sneakers are another one of my closet everyday favs...probably due to that hidden tomboy in me! I went minimal with the accessories this time, just let the outfit do the talking :) In my opinion, wedge sneakers are a great go-to for ladies that are blessed with larger feet...they make your foot look at least 2 sizes smaller! Here's this same look paired with denim jeggings and cream wedge sneakers. I can't decide which I like better!

Jamberry Nail - 7 day stretch!

Image
7 (seven) days is probably the longest I've worn just about any of my nail designs, but I just had to see how long the Jamberry Nail Wraps would last! I must say that after 7 days I am still impressed! In the pics you will see some basic "wear and tear" around the edge of my nail, but for the most part they still look great! Of course, I changed the color (had to change something after 7 long days) but I love the combo with the blue on blue!             BTW...the color I'm wearing on the rest of my nails is called Most Sinful from the Sinful Colors new Sinful Shine line. I was out for my standard nail polish run and saw that the Sinful Colors bottle looked a little different...then I noticed the difference in the name! Supposedly, Sinful Shine is made with gel tech and should be "shinier" than their standard line...I'm not really sure what the difference in color is between Most Sinful and Endless Blue (from the original line) but I got it anyw...

Jamberry Nail Wrap UPDATE

Image
Here are a few pics of the Jamberry Nail Wrap accent nails that I applied after 4 days. I was given a sample of the new Jamberry Nail Wraps and wanted to see just how long they would last. This first picture shows my nail from a top angle. For the most part it still looks great! Here is a side view my nail. You can see some of the wear starting to show on the sides of my nail...which really isn't too bad after doing hair all week... Did I mention I was a stylist ...my hands are in a lot of water so having a product that withstands my " working conditions"  is quite impressive !  Another top shot of my nail... It's only been 4 days, but so far so good!

Jamberry Nail Wraps

I was recently given a sample from the new and rapidly growing company  Jamberry   Nail Wrap. This company offers numerous pre-made nail designs for DIY nail lovers like me to try out at a very reasonable price. The sample I have only gives one of the nail strips but I was able to cut it in half and put the design on two of my nails for a cute accent nail. Application was actually very easily, but the business card sample provides a YouTube link that walks you through how to apply it to your nail. The design I had (pic below) is a navy blue pattern called Mad Mod. I decided to pair it with a solid aqua colored polish on the rest of my nails just to make the pattern pop a little more :). I applied them yesterday (Saturday) and I am excited to see just how long the pattern lasts...if it gets me through the week I will be buying more of these! I am just loving this print! The sample card I have is actually a business card from one of their consultants, and after surfing ...

Super Cute Nails!! ;)

Image
So I randomly decided to change my nails tonight! I wanted something super feminine that made a statement so I went with this bright hot pink with a rhine stone nail accent. I think it's just enough to make a statement but not too overwhelming; good fit for any environment. Here's the two shades of polish I used...The hot pink is called BOOM BOOM by Sinful Colors . I chose to accent the accent nail with a light pink metallic polish called Fair Metal by Spoiled ...you could always choose one color for all nails, but why not add more pizzazz?! I loooove the brush for Sinful Colors because it's pretty skinny and makes painting much easier (I have pretty small hands). Both of these nail lines are very affordable and offer a great variety of nail polish colors...I'm in the process of collecting them all ;) I ordered this rhine stone set from Amazon for less than $5! It comes with like 1200 stones in it so you definitely won't run out anytime soon! Al...

So I wore this outfit to a birthday dinner, The restaurant had a live band so I wanted to wears something comfy but very cute! Surprisingly, those wedge heel booties (from Target btw) are QUITE comfortable to walk and dance in...which is always important :). I randomly got into skater skirts this summer. I think they're so cute and fun! Hope you like it!!
